One of our most popular adventures! Learn your camera, expand your creativity and make stunning scenic photos in field with Creative Photo Academy. Fantastic locations and good friends make for a grand adventure. We have a fun-filled experience prepared packed with landscape and scenic photography. Each day provides a balance of creative opportunities, instruction, and plenty of exploration and fun. Great for beginners to advanced photographers.
Eastern Sierra Adventure. One of the most picturesque spots in California. The eastern Sierra has inspired photographers to make some of the most exciting photographs, become inspired by this wonderful scenery.
Bodie Ghost Town Interiors. Creative Photo Academy has secured courted permission to go inside and photograph inside the buildings at Bodie. Join us for a magic morning of creativity. We will arrive just before sunrise and spend the morning photographing.
The Adventure
The Eastern Sierra is a location of stunning beauty towering granite peaks, rushing waters, and a desert
valley of great historical importance and photographic interest. Witness the golden light of sunrise on the Minarets and the amber sunset on Mono Lake. Shoot the drama of the light through Bodie. Capture the aspen glow as the fall colors explode in the Sierra canyons.
Proposed Itinerary
The Adventure begins with dinner on the first day and concludes after breakfast on the final day.
- Wednesday- Dinner at Bodie Mikes
- Thursday- Photograph Bodie Ghost town Interiors, Dinner at Whoa Nellie Deli
- Friday- Photograph Lundy Canyon and Bodie Ghost Town
- Saturday- Photograph, Rock Creek, Bishop Creek & Mono Lake
- Sunday- Bishop Creek

Physical Expectations: Moderate. Must be able to walk 1 mile at altitude. Hiking boots required.
